What is it?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Safe motherhood is a holistic approach that includes providing care and treatment services to the mother before pregnancy, and to both mother and baby before, during, and after birth. It aims to prevent unwanted and high-risk pregnancies and to reduce maternal and infant deaths and complications. The Safe Motherhood Program seeks to provide beneficiaries with accurate information and ensure they can apply this knowledge in their daily lives to improve both maternal and infant health.<\/p>\n

Objective<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The program aims to raise public awareness and sensitivity about safe motherhood and to help expectant mothers understand the importance and risks of the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods. This is achieved through a community-based service model and collaboration with institutions offering social support.<\/p>\n

It also works to enhance education and counseling services for pregnant and postpartum women and their families in preventive health institutions through in-service training programs and the development of educational and counseling materials for healthcare providers.<\/p>\n
